Random fact, the two tractors shown as inspiration were made by myself and a colleague of mine for a client I have.

Awesome, looking forward to seeing the work! I want to be in on this one too.
I'm thinking to maybe share this or promote this on my socials also.

The band looks great. And the entries too! They are turning out really nice.
I kinda want to compete in this one, though I hosted it. It's possible right?

Thanks yes! Bin working overtime for this!
Making large 8K textures in Filterforge as plug to Photoshop! That takes lots of time! But I need those for my other projects anyways..so its worth going through the trouble!

yes its one of those thomgs that I start to big! I have some health issues with my left leg at the moment! I will need more hours on that one ! I will post the pictures! I need to go to a job today and can barely step on my left leg!
The textures were the most time consuming..and those I need anyways! Just close it! I rather post something that I am happy with then rush it! I made all with procedural textures!
I will post a very detailed description with it..!
Dont hold it now for me will post it as soon as I have it!

I wonder if its a good idea or not to make the U3DA Challenge last two months from now on. What do you think? Montly it makes sense, but it seems to be not enough time to get enough competitors.

Re: September Challenge - Tricky Tractors - COMMENTS
Challenges aren't everything. People could do CG projects that aren't for challenges. Members used to do that. No deadline, work at your own pace, on your own theme, toward your own goals. Also, why does everyone abandon a challenge project when they can't meet the deadline? Why not finish it outside of challenges?
Great entries in this challenge. Looking forward to seeing Rayman's picture.

Probably because they have limited time and the challenge deadline is a nice way of putting a limit on yourself not getting carried away on a project that one may not have the time for otherwise...Finis wrote: 04 Oct 2019, 18:47 Why does everyone abandon a challenge project when they can't meet the deadline? I agree there. Self imposed deadlines does create some good productivity. Though.. I do try to share my work when I can here.
I'm gonna wait for any image from Rayman then do the poll. Maybe later today I'll model something up nice and quickly.

you are right... i used to do my own projects, but i dont have time for that or i dont have energy or something. So challanges motivate me. I do some small things than to start something big i cannot finish or will finish in years.

Steinie is here! Now to make a "where's the artist" meme for Spacekdet.
I found the entries equally good so I didn't vote. There aren't many people active in the forum now days so maybe it is normal now for only a few to participate in anything.

If it were me, I'd do paper scissors rock. But I gotta wait till my girlfriend comes home to do it. (it's like a coin flip)

Oh, did the poll end already? maybe we should have let it run for a bit longer...
So it's a tie... Well I'd be happy to bow to my superior master Lego builder and declare Bitkar the supreme ruler of this challenge.

I had it run for 5 days, though maybe 10 would have made more sense.
Hmm... so forfeiting your votes Mikom to default to Bitkar? Woah.
Bitkar, down to do the next competition?

Re: September Challenge - Tricky Tractors - COMMENTS
Mikom: much apreciated, but your tractor had a great steampunk vibe. I hope you win next time and them could be "steampunk" itself, it looked amazing.
We both are winners and Iam pretty sure, whether its me or Mikom who decide the next topic, the result would be that the next challange will be "lego". Me personally I think the building system does not have to be specific to lego only. There are other building systems for kids (and adults), so lets make next theme "make somethings using any kids building systems you know" (im my country there was also very mechanical system with screwes and nuts called Merkur, so thats why not a lego only)
Mikom: do you agree with the next theme?

@bitkar Sure, go for it! I remember as a kid I had Brio (building train tracks), K'nex (clicking together rods to make objects and structures) and Mechano (screws, plates and bolts). And Lego of course. Lots of inspiration to be had there.

Should rename the monthly "challenge" into the "circular, never-ending marathon". The September challenge has extended into most of October. LOL
Or maybe it's the dog's fault
1. ate my homework
2. buried it in the backyard
3. the front of it's back hurt it one bright morning in the middle of the night.
4. there is always room for jello?
