Be well again. Have got a flue and have stayed home for a week. I haven't been so ill for many years. Boring, home alone and miss my friends at the work. Spending my time partly in bed and in front of the computer to learn Blender.

I got terribly sick for one day... with lots of vomit, pain and fever, actually I woke puking. But in the next day I was much better, just with light fever and now (2 days after) I'm totally good again, just need to rest. I didn't took any medicine, just tea, apple and things like that.

I think I'll go hiking today. Predicted 77 F (25 C) high today. Have to do a little job and call a customer then there will be a time for a short hike. Maybe where there are animals I've been trying to photograph. I think they are all in Mexico for the winter but who knows. They are dangerous so going there means going armed and aware and I'm not mentally focused today (so I need a hike). Maybe I'll go some other safer place. Not the mountains. Still cold up there.

Ok, what type of critter are you talking abut? We typically do not have anything around here that I need anything bigger than my hiking poles to defend myself with, or move them out of the way. No lions tiger or bears anyway... well, unless I go up into the Water Gap area, they have bear, but typically they are more interested in staying away from people than we are about staying away from them.

Puma? Grizzly? Something on two legs?

Still trying to create a Frankenputer out of all my old spare parts.
Plugging them in (when possible) to my sister's old machine.
I was just supposed to reformat it and give it to my niece, but I absconded with it for a couple months.
To make up for it I'm attempting to give it as many upgrades as possible with my spare box o' hardware.
None of this stuff will plug into my new machine so it may as well get used somehow before it's totally obsolete.

Spacekdet: Frankenputer ... ha, ha! No, not a predator.

Hi Rich, the reason I didn't name the animal is that I have a website about hikes and such and there was a sort of game there and on a thread on the "anaglifo" TS forum where I didn't reveal the critter ID and people could guess until I got photos ... still no photos. Well, that got old fast and everyone but Spacekdet and Steinie knows what it is now. So ...

Steinie, Spacekdet, do you want to know what the critter is? Rich, I'll PM you if they don't want to know.

There have been several incidents of people being injured by them mostly when approaching them without knowledge or appropriate caution. Like most wild things they aren't out to get you but these aren't afraid of people and surprising or being surprised or annoying them or a herd is not a good idea so best to be aware and prepared. I studied their behavior and I have a 10x optical zoom.

We have mountain lions (puma, panther, cougar, never saw a wild one, might have seen tracks) and bears (still asleep, never saw a wild one but I did find a skeleton), and rattlers who seldom bother people. Coyotes sometimes go after people. Kids mostly.

I injured my hand on a chain link fence top at my job today. The cut/puncture is deeper than I thought. Still bleeding.

My hike, to a place I have not been before, was short but it is a good place. Much to see there so I'll go back again. Four sets of camera batteries and none of them charged. I saw large deep arroyos (dirt canyons) and had fun finding way past them. Then there were interesting rock shapes, plants, cottonwood trees, an intermittent stream bed, deer, cow, horse (with shoes), and maybe coyote tracks.

Hmm... from the southwest... snakes... I am not a big fan of snakes. Here in the ne we have them, they are usually low profile, you have to look to find them, Copperheads and black snakes and others that I have no idea what they are.

We have a great hiking area just up the road from me here, it is so well used though (mountain bikers and hikers) that seeing anything more than squirrels, rabbits, and birds is uncommon. We do have a very thriving population of voltures though, they are pretty interesting, a bird that it's main defense is puking on you :D

Sasquatch: chupacabra "goat sucker" is the southwest's bigfoot. Which, being a mythical creature, is not it.

''Chupa Cabra'' here in Brazil is an myth about a animal that kills goats and sucks all it's blood, that sometimes happens (dead goats without blood) so that's the myth explanation, I hope they don't exist '-'

Chupa Cabra is not related to Bigfoot as far I remember... we call it ''Pé Grande'' that actually means Big Foot...

Yeah Rich I saw about that at MonsterQuest, just a bit... I don't really like that kind of tv show.

Just to make things clear, Sasquatch is the ''BigFoot'' for some latin-american countries, but not in all (Brazil is one of them)... Chupa cabra has nothing to do with Sasquatch and Big Foot

Yeah, chupacabra means the same here. Bigfoot, chupacabra, jersey devil, are all mythical creatures. That is what they have to do with each other.

Today I finished my animation BOT! :bananacheers:
- 14836 images
- 425 trueSpace scenes
- 346 animated clips
- 128 special effects in post production
+ audio editing and music (the only one thing not from me)
everything is finished. I am proud to resist the temptation to abandon. Almost 2 years of work for only 10 minutes of film. Perseverance is the hardest thing to master and also the most rewarding. The forums Caligari and U3DArtists helped me a lot during these years.

I'll finally be able to start new things more artistic, and engaged in ecology. I hope you enjoy this new beginning.

Shopping for customers and getting a cart full of low this and no that stuff made me hungry. Definitely will make giant mega meat grease burgers with cheese and extra salt and have super sugar tasty things too. If only I could afford bacon too.

I plan to celebrate Human Achievement Hour starting at 8:30pm local time. I'll turn on all my lights and be glad that some of my electricity comes from nuclear power and do one or more of these: participate in competitive free market enterprise (well do bookkeeping for my business), eat genetically modified food if I'm hungry (IF, what an achievement!), look at my smallpox vaccination scar (barely visible now), ponder who to vote for, and generally marvel at the benefits and wonders of freedom, individual liberty, and modern knowledge, technology, chemistry, science, and medicine.

Have to many plans and projects but not enough time for it. The day should have 32hrs (minimum).

I moved all my websides to a new provider and setup a wordpress blog for my main hp. The other sides are working fine now. I do a lot of electronic stuff (µC) together with software developement.

I have the idea to make a 3d short movie but not enough time to do it. The idea is final and also a storyboard but, well i don't want to start it because i know that i don't get it finished...sad...

Well, this was also a idea which is "lost in time".

No, the short that i mean is just on paper at this moment and should a lot more cartoony as this one. I think it could be a 3-4 min. short. But for a result that look as i have it in my mind i think i need 1 year or so. And this without disturb thrue other projects and a lot of enthusiasm. But so far as i know me (and trueSpace) the enthusiasm is gone after the 37. crash of tS, after 3 months, the lost of data's or at least if you find anything what not can be done in tS etc. etc. <-- you can choose ;)

Short term plans?

Working on this site, working on my own "opensource collaborative 3D product" site, just overcame some horrendous render issues, reinstalled a CPU to use as another render node, now to begin producing the pilot for a miniseries kids tv show, improving rigs, pipelines ready to hire some new keen students to help me out and disciple.

Oh, I gotta get my personal computer back from the techies, then push the video card (Twin Frozr R7879) to the max with some killer games, later upgrade the CPU to Phenom II x6 then overclock it on my new 850 real watt powersupply! Keep working and learning with Softimage 2013, do some walk cycle tutorials. Keep on workin on my personal GPU based mini tv series still in the drawing board, but with a short pilot made/scripted, storyboarded halfway and modeling started.. I should finish it!

36 hours would be awesome!

I slept 5 hours lastnight, felt like I went drinking the previous night after I woke up!

I'm still in the honey moon phase of 3D I guess. :P

Prepping for dad's 85th(!) birthday party / family reunion.
Going to be an outdoor picnic/3 day blowout type thing here at the house.
Tents and porta-johns in the yard, people driving in from other states and countries, that sort of thing.
Consequently, for the next week and a half I'll be running around like my hair's on fire trying to get ready.

It'll be fun, they said.
We'll help, they said.

Let's cater it at the local metropark instead, I said.
No one heard me.

Silly me, I thought we'd spend a quiet week at the Cabin instead.
No one heard me that time, either.

See you on the other side!

Got me some new speakers for my PC. A Logitech Surround Sound System (5.1 which I can easily turn into a 7.1), nothing fancy, it was quite cheap but it beats the speakers I had before (I have had them for like 5 or 6 years and they were already a couple years old when I got them).

So my short term plans are: Listen to loads of music, watch loads of HD movies and play loads of HD games! :bananacool2:

I did a bunch of work yesterday and today. I'm tired but it looks like I'll get most of the weekend off. I plan to go out and get a burger and fries and then just relax.

I should work today but I'm tired of it. Going to the mountains with hang gliding buddies. Watch 'em jump and drive the truck back down.

Hope it isn't cold up there. I'm tired of being cold. This Spring has been so cold that a month into mowing season there is still little grass to mow.

I planned to got to a wedding but ... What's the point of getting dressed up and driving 40 or 50 miles in 93 degree heat with no air conditioner in the truck? The AC needs refrigerant. Even without the suit I think arriving soaked with sweat still isn't correct wedding etiquette. Maybe I can borrow my sister's car. I want my own transportation so I'm not dependent on others to leave.

Time it just right to arrive after the dancing starts. Then everyone is soaked in sweat and you won't stand out.
Long way to go for rubber steam-table chicken, but hey a free meal is a free meal.

Short term plan: finish attaching anchors to the swim raft with the new chain. Tired of replacing rope and losing anchors.
Then shove that sucker into the lake and get it anchored out far enough to get a boat buffer zone back in place.

We'll see if the wooden ladder will last one more year.

Finis, I'll be thinking of you sweltering out in your desert habitat when I test the raft by diving in off of it.

After that the ducks will move in and doo what ducks doo ALL OVER THE PLACE.

Can't have nothin' nice; somebody always comes along and quacks, er, craps it up.

Also, high 5, fellow busted AC car owner. Clutch is shot; no amount of Cold-In-A-Can is gonna fix that.

If I finish a yard soon enough tomorrow then I'll drive for my hang gliding buddies. They will jump off of a mountain and I'll drive the truck back. I hope the road is washed out and terrible and serious 4 wheel drive only.

I might have Tuesday off. Might just stay home and take it easy but they predict 105 F/40.5 C Tuesday. I like to hike in the dunes when it is hot.

Had a chore to do so I'm late getting to the Dunes for my hike. Almost got some bonus heat but 105 F is the day's high. Two gallons of water in the pack plus two canteens plus some in the truck. I didn't get far on the last heat hike with 1.5 gallons so it will probably be a short one. A little windy. That'll add some unpleasantness but it will still be fun.

My short term plans:
packing, packing, packing. Looks like we are making a local move again. Ugh! Been doing this packing stuff for about a month now, not constantly though. We have to vacate the premises by Nov. 1. No worries, getting it done. But moving sucks. Moving Sucks. And, just to be clear: MOVING SUCKS! Yeah. I just love putting my life on hold for two months to deal with all this crap instead. FUN! Anyway, it'll work out for the best. The landlords divorced back in Sept. 2013; apparently they have not divided their assets, and are now in contempt of court. So, the house we rent will either get sold or the ex-wife will move in. She's nice; actually I can talk to her! Unlike the mind job ex-husband. He's whacked. So anyway. we found out it's cheaper to own than rent, and we can actually do it this time, so we're buying a house.

So anyway, once this moving adventure is over with we can resume our life. Geez!

Oh also: HI EVERYBODY! MISS Talkin to ya here! Just been terribly busy!

Awesome you're back FROO!!!

I am so happy you are buying, I think that's a peak, owning land.

My short term plans:
Get better classes in the city to pay the bills (English) - I have one class that only seems to do 1 out of 3 per week - keep canceling.
Finish my pass script for a freelance animation job I'm doing
Work on the freelance job - get the first preliminary animation sorted this week
Work on Trinumedia.tumblr.com - modify the sidepanel in the post, and the about page - and start wireframing the other pages - fix navigation links
Work on Ratoonz.com - create a better homepage - dumbify the image slider for Chrome (I actually really don't like web designing for Chrome or IE - add more content/buttons - add studio description
Get the neighbors to repair the damaged roof their construction caused the house..
And I will probably run away from everything for the weekend to a cottage outside the city.

"Neh, I don't need that flashlight, nor that baseball bat, come one! What is the worst that could happen?"

Black cat runs past and scares the shizz out of the character as they walk with their bags to their car.

"It's just an alpine cottage!"

A shadow creeps over the girlfriend when she stops walking upon hearing his remark, she shivers.

"I dunno, I really don't feel comfortable going."

"We deserve this, darling, it'll be fine!"

RE: Flying fecal matter on glass, I feel your pain.
We have multiple bird feeders and Dad feeds ducks and geese a daily bucket of corn.
Even better when it's high-speed filtered thru the window screen first before painting the windowpane.
"Like shit through a goose" aint just a figure of speech.

Short Term Plan: A small measure of revenge against the bird world as I convert Thursday's turkey carcass into Saturday's soup.

The hang glider people have a fly in here on Memorial Day weekend. They gather here from all over and fly off of the mountain. I'll go and watch and drive their trucks down. The road has been 'dozed so it won't be a 4 wheel drive challenge. While up there I might hike to a rock formation in the area that I've been wanting to explore.

Annual summer birthday/friends and family reunion/ "Wake on the Lake" party at our place this weekend.
House and yard cleanup in progress, more to come. You're all invited, naturally.
Tents go up Friday.

After the aftermath/cleanup, hoping to head to the Upper Peninsula with a nephew for a little hiking here.
