Thanks guys! I think I'll take it a bit slower now that I have the base of the scene mapped out. Now I just have to add details... sooo maany details. And poor old TrueSpace will have to render it all.

It looks like you already started adding details in a very short amount of time, the barrel and carpet but what is that other stuff?
A red cylinder, a white disc of some sort and a stick laying on the ground?

I usually build whatever pops into my mind as I'm working on a model, so yeah, there are some details here and there but I was going to add food and stuff which would mean a lot more detail than this.

As for the tall red thing. It's my measuring tool, it's about the average height of a human being and I use it to keep the proportions in check. You might have noticed it in some other WIPs I've posted, like on my Athena model for example.

I plan to join this Challenge but do to trueSpace problems my WIP post will have to wait.

I might enter but it will have to be with something I do with Hexagon. Learning non-TS software is my 3D goal now and I won't do that if I keep doing challenges with TS.

Am I allowed to use a model I've made before the mention of this competition? (I did make it though)

Ok here we go! I will probably go not on the traditional side of things, and it will go a long my Alkathosk world theme, but we'll see how it goes! A lighting and compositing challenge with blender and trueSpace! Hurrah.

Ok, done! Did something simple, worked more on the composition, and there you go! Probably not within the standards of the competition, but I managed to model practically everything for the scene. So it works out. Hope you like it!

How does the challenge work? Do i have to stick to any guidelines when setting new challenge?

I think you can create your own guidelines, but the challenge should be for only one month.

As long as you make the size restriction something bigger than 1024x768 p. That is such an old fashioned aspect ratio and size...

Winner sets the theme and makes the rules. Most just copy the rules that are usually used but you can do what you want. Winner makes a main thread to present the theme, rules, deadlines, etc. Also a thread for entries, a comment thread, and later a poll thread. The main and entry threads are often combined.

Mikom: The rules usually don't require a specific aspect ratio but say "no larger than".
