Ok. Not really an entry; really to bring to your attention, the fact you can create blender fluid sims, import them into trueSpace, and cause them to interact with objects in trueSpace physically.

Hey theuns; the freely downloadable fluid sim importer package contains a highly detailed manual for creating fluid sims in blender. Screenshots for every step in the process are included. Also included is a sample dataset for use in trueSpace.
