Reflection Map

Post by Hatchetman »

Is there a way to make a reflection/specular/shiny map to wrap around a model? I can't seem to get the option to use a map on the model side, (with the texture, bump, etc) it only makes the entire object whichever reflection option I choose. Isn't there a way to make a map where the white areas are shiny, black areas are matte, and in between? I'm making a general template for a woman, and I want a spec/reclection map to make her eyeballs and lips shiny, but everything else matte

to create 2 different shader on one surface you must use different layer and use alpha channel. alpha channel can be used with the color, bump and reflectance option of the material editor. the grey create a graduated effect between the different layer. It is possible to create very complex shader for one surface. look at this example i posted:
