Android for the final scene

Post by marcel »

This is a continuation of my previous topic "Head made with SDS". This time, I only use my model's face grafted on to a machine. The face has only 385 faces but optimized for use with the SDS. It is thus easy to modify. The biggest work is the texture applied to the face. It is covered with metal plates disjunct to retain the flexibility of the face. I used Illustrator to draw the mask. The UV map is a simple planar UV projection. The face is then grafted onto the rest of the metal head. This project is not finished but I will use this model at the end of my movie because it makes the seal between machines and life. If the man become a machine, this seems pessimistic but if the machine become a man (or a woman :) ) that may be optimistic ...

Stunning work as usual, Marcel. Can't wait to see her/it in motion in the final episode of your masterful B.O.T. series. :bananacool2:

Maybe i need more time to finish but there will be a lot of new thing. The head is part of a whole machine. This sequence appears during the credits of the movie, then at the end and we will see fully. It is the center of activity. Other robots with different shapes will be added. This place will be the center of the new artificial world. A kind of ship engine room. Floating rocks are agglomerated around the room as you saw in part5. When the storm struck the city, the debris sucked back so far to provide the necessary materials to finish. This scene does not exist yet. I'll add it. All these innovations allow to make the story more understandable. The puzzle is built slowly. The filmmaking is not always in chronological order. It is why this wip is difficult to follow.
Here is 2 screen shot of the new animation:

I forgot to say I am inspired by Vger (reduction of the word "Voyager" in Star Trek) to the idea of recovering human constructions in order to recreate a new machine. Conscientiously acquired by the Vger and his attitude toward humans was a great idea.

great looking scene...

but its a pitty to apply texture like this to a woman like that :) she is too nice to be an android :) Maybe to make her more human like, skin color face and all those tech stuff all around would work too and it could be more sexy .. what is not what you want and you are right. But I just like women`s estetitcs ;) so I had to write it.

at least you could make some bonus scene (non animated or as you want) with that woman model some time, huh? :)

I have the project to add a view of a women head (with refflect of the town on his sun glass) inside a building before it explode. if you remember when the first building explode with the ray light. but i am not sure to want to kill that women. :)
i need to add several character (human and animal) everywhere to make the story more alive. It is what i do now. i need several month more to finish the project.

That's a good thing about a non-business project ... no due date. You can work on it as long as it takes to do it right.

thank.
@ Biktar: Finally the woman (for your request) is not in the building but on the roof. The view is prettier. Wind anime hair. The hair is cut into strips parallel and animated. Then I edit the keyframes to create an offset with the time between the strips. it gives an illusion of waves. Strips have an alpha mask to divide them into more hair. In this view the woman see the sphere who turn around the building just before the building is destroyed.
The zip is a short anim of the hair.
