Scene View Alphabetizer

Post by clintonman »

The script will alphabetize the Scene View by deleting nodes and undoing the deletes in order. It only does the top level nodes. It does not reorder recursively down the node heirarchy.

Left click alphabetizes the scene. Right click alphabetizes the subnodes of a selected node.

the scene view reorder script can be found here:

I recommend saving a scene before running, just in case something goes wrong with all the deletes and undo s.

Hi Clinton

Is it a rename function, or what do you mean with alphabetize?

It reorders the Scene View. Image shows before and after.

Nice Clinton!
If you add a script at the end that runs LE.ArrangePanels("") it arranges the nodes for you.

Great idea. :bananathumb: I added the option for alphabetizing the LE view and changed the version to 1.1
