When I use the global environment light on TS7.6 model side the image file is not saved with the scene. That is when I load a scene there is no image associated with the light even though there was when I saved it.
Is there a way to save that so it is loaded with the scene?

Re: Global Environment Light image not saved.
It is this tool. Usually we all call it the HDRI light. It can use LDRI images too. If I create a scene using it, save the scene, and load the scene the light no longer has the image (Global Env.) associated with it. The image box on the control panel is empty.
How can I save the scene so that this light's image setting reloads with the scene?

Looks like you win a Bug-Hunter Merit Badge.
You may sew it on your uniform and wear it proudly.
Tried every way I could think of to get the GI image to 'stick' on Model side but no joy.
Looking like we'll have to remember to hunt it down and re-apply it every time.
Tiny bit of advice from the old forum.
One way to leave yourself a note:

Re: Global Environment Light image not saved.
Thanks Spacekdet. The note pad tool will allow me to save the identity of the image so when revisiting old scenes I'll know which to use.
Since I save to two scene files often and then reload the working one I hoped to avoid reselecting the light image but it isn't that much trouble.

There is another work around, keep all your HDR images in one folder and add the folder to your
Texture Path in preferences.

The problem is with TS 7.61 only. TS 7.6 save all the setting from hdri with the scene. There is a lot of problem with TS 7.61 model side that you have not in the TS 7.6 model side. If you work with lightwork the best version is 7.6 (all new function in 7.61 is for the workspace and cause problem to the modelside who was not updated in the same time).

Spacekdet: Bug Hunter Merit badge? Sounds like a subject for a SMC.
Danperk: I think this image is in my texture path but I'll check. It appears without additional effort in the texture selection window.
Marcel: I am using TS 7.6. I did install the later one but uninstalled it when I found that it was about workspace. Maybe some of that installation remains and interferes with this.
This isn't a show stopper. Just something that would be better if it was remembered.

I have both version installed and no problem. I hope you have not installed 7.61 then uninstalled it and installed 7.6 on the same folder. In this case it would be good to erase the TS folder before reinstall 7.6 to be sure you have a clean install.Finis wrote: Marcel: I am using TS 7.6. with modelside, you can try to save as an archive. the hdri image will be on the folder created. when you open the scene in the folder, TS will search in this folder first for all the texture created by the scene. you can move the folder where you want. It is a good thing to cleanup and keep a project without a problem of path (when you change a computer or a hard drive).

Re: Global Environment Light image not saved.
Thanks Marcel,
I didn't uninstall TS 7.6. I think that if TS 7.6.1 caused TS 7.6 to behave that way it is because it replaced something with a new file that wasn't uninstalled correctly.
Since model side is fairly stable for me as it is I'll leave it alone. Little things like the HDRI light's image aren't worth major effort to fix them. However, if I have more important trouble I'll uninstall and reinstall and delete that folder like you advised.
Thanks also for reminding me of the archive. That would keep the HDRI image from getting lost as well as tidy up whole projects.
