SMC 52: Praxinoscope

What the hell is a Praxinoscope? well its probably the nearest thing to a television in Victorian times! there is a few different styles and you will get brownie points if you can successfully animate it (BUT NOT REQUIRED AND JUST VIRTUAL EXTRA POINTS :p)
Image
DEADLINE : January 15, 2010
VOTING: January 16 - January 21, 2010
I didnt know I was the one to start the new SMC (But it will leave some room for you to make a special end year image)

RULES:
1) Use any 3D software you choose.
2) Create the model(s) within a 2 hour time limit. It will take you little time so... Participate!
3) You may enter as many times as you wish.
4) Your entry will also include a wireframe screen grab before SDS (subdivision) has been applied. This is included to help others learn modeling techniques.
5) Include time spent, software/version and render engine used with your submission.
6) Post one render per entry at 800 x 600 pixels.
7) Render, Lighting, and Texturing are not included within the 2 hour time limit.

Post your images in this thread.

As you can see your great work will count! How could we block beautiful works just because they don't use a specific software?

Yeah, Carrara 7 Pro and modeled in Hexagon, some painting in 3D - although didn't take much care with it.

Had the blurry eye today, so not sure what I messed up. heh

here's mine..
TS the Praxinoscope took about an hour with textures the main cylinder was textured with the outside image then it was cut out with another cylinder with the animation image on it this mapping the inside so it didn't take long! the rest took about 1/2hr
Its rendered in Dribble as the mirrors where slightly better than lightworks.. carrara was a 100% better but I wanted to stay with TS for this one for a change.. plus in Carrara the outer image needed remapping

All three are nice! Before this Challenge I had no idea what a "Praxinoscope" was.
All three of you showed us some beautiful examples.
