Hold & Fetch reloaded ?

Post by Emmanuel »

I just tested Hold & Fetch, an old free plugin by BKP. It is somehow like the CopyPaste plugin, but works with entire scenes instead of objects.

http://www.alabsoft.com/bkp/hf.htm"

It seems it doesn't work for me, or maybe it is not compatible with Windows 8 (may require administrator rights to write the save file).
Could someone try it, to check if the problem comes from my own tS setup or computer, or if it is a general issue ?

See plugin attached.

from the readme.txt of Hold & Fetch

LIMITATIONS

Unfortunately at present Hold & Fetch expects your 'temp' directory environment variable to be 'c:\temp', if you do not have this directory Hold & Fetch will not function. (Please email me if you are using NT and your temp directory is 'd:\temp', so I can send you a modified version of Hold & Fetch)

I've got a c:/Temp directory, but I just realize there was a T in capitals. With a c:/temp, the plugin is working !
Thank you Stan for raising this information !

This is a handy little tool. A must to clic before any Modeler boolean operation ;)

If you need "d:/temp", you can edit the plugin with a hexadecimal editor and change the "c:/temp" in "d:/temp" and save the plugin with the new temp path.

Cellulo, If you can make a version with d:/temp that would be great. I can't change my C:/Temp it's needed.
