Does Clinton's PSK exporter work with hair?
I have a skeletal mesh that exports fine until I put hair on it. After that I get a script runtime error. Is there a way to make it work? Inside the 'PSKNode' a 'PSKNode Hair' is added which I think is the problem, but I'm not sure. I tried renaming it to 'PSKNodeHair', took out the space, but same error. I'm not sure what else to try.
I also have an issue with faces disappearing somehow. A mesh looks fine in tS but in the UDK mesh viewer some polys are missing. It doesn't happen with every skeletal mesh. I am starting to wonder if it is from saving a used skeleton as an object from inside a character and then importing it into another scene and skinning it to a different mesh.

Re: Hair with Clinton's PSK exporter?
The exporter is not compatible with hair. I think the missing polys might have something to do with PSK limit to 4 weights per vertex or maybe some items aren't getting any weights at all? It's hard to tell without some kind of picture or sample file.
Edit: You can get geometry from hair by using the boolean merge geometry tool. I think it would have to be done before skinning.
1. Use the Link Editor or Scene view to select the hair node named something like "mymesh Hair"
2. activate the merge geometry tool - with flatten result
3. select the mesh and rt click to exit the tool
4. maybe unencapsulate the result

Re: Hair with Clinton's PSK exporter?
Hi Clinton,
Thanks for the heads up with the hair. I spent a while trying different ways to make it work. This is my first time playing with the hair in ts(and probably the last!). I am going to look into other ways to use physics with hair. I was just trying it this way to do it fast and because I was looking at rendering a short video and not game stuff. The spike things in the image are not part of the model either. They were an alternative method I was playing with.
I think the missing polys is something of my own fault. I only wish I knew what I did! It won't let me attach a .psk so I'll have to dig through a few baks to see if I can find a scene that exports goofy.
And before I forget! Thanks for your pluggins! They are quite helpful.
