Thanks
most of the model is extruded faces, the offset tool and a plugin to do rounded corners.. I haven't tried rendering it in TS but got nice results in Carrara

Thanks Peter :D
Most of these plugins work with the free SU7 or earlier, there's a free obj exporter that also works.
I don't really export models much for use else were, Thea isn't that fussy, but when you export to TS or whatever you have to careful with faces flipping
Anyway here's another if a 1000 instances, I fixed a few things with the lighter

Thanks :D

Thea is Kerkythea's younger brother.. apart from a few of the developers design ideals they have very little in common with the actual core being built from scratch, Thea is a lot faster and I find it a lot easier to use than KT, the material lab is fantastic.

I wont go into the "you must buy!" coz I don't own Fry, Maxwell, vray, etc , for me it will export straight from SU and Blender painlessly, it'll import 3DS or OBJ from TS, Carrara, Daz which is what matters to me.

Its one of those things, TS and Lightworks is great for some renders. likewise Carrara or Bryce, its really hard to do things with global medium effects in Thea, something Vue can do without breaking into a sweat

There is a fully functioning demo for Thea but it has watermarks, if you just want to do photoreal give Kerkythea a try.. if you like I could do the lighter in KT as well?

this is the Thea site:

I see it is 16 Euros for the Thea SketchUp plugin but the Kerkythea one is for free...

Both plugins need the main renderer to work, KT is totally free, can't recall how much Thea costs

Just tried the lighter in KT and Thea, exported from sketchup into KT rendered and saved the scene. Thea can load KT scenes, results were very similar but took 3 times longer
