Virtual Earth - problem with map view

Post by Juve »

Hi I would like to put my house model into Virtual Earth (Bing map). But I have problem. Place (on the Bing map) where I want to save the model has very low resolution. I found areas where resolution is very nice. But these areas are limited like in the pictures down...

I think that picture of high resolution must be somehow inserted by user.

Can someone help me please??

Prodigy is pro with virtual earth or at least he was. :)

He did that Xmas scene awhile back. I think he works during the week and stays busy, so you may have to wait till he becomes free.

I think it's up to Virtual Earth staff to add/ update the map/ satellite data.
They use many sources, some areas are very detailed and some are not.
Hopefully your area will get higher resolution data added someday.

There's no way to change the res of the map. if your house is on the low res side.. there's nothing to do but wait from microsoft side to update those pictures..

Yes, you can upload it.

To keep an eye on what areas are getting updated map data, here's the scoop.
