Anybody having this problem and/or know what causes it:
1. I hit render. TS says: Generating Shadow maps. (as it should).......and the nothing, it does not render.
2. Same scene. Upon saving TS says: "Failed to save." It refuses to save the scene.
help greatly appreciated.

There may be some corrupt geometry in your scene. Have you tried rendering with a different scene? Same problem?

I checked and yes it is rendering other older scenes of mine. oh it just now gave me this message for the first time:Draise wrote:There may be some corrupt geometry in your scene. Have you tried rendering with a different scene? Same problem?
"error loading rosetta part. It will be ignored."
This was upon hitting render but a bit after TS stated "generating shadow maps." e.g. during the time it would normally render.
Not sure if I have bad geometry or not. It seems that thats sometimes hard to tell, or at least for me I have no idea how to know if there is.

You can export your scene elements as OBJ's and import them into a new scene one by one, untill you find what causes the error. That might give you some clues.

I've noticed that trueSpace (lightworks renderer/modeler side) cannot render very large scenes.
In architectural vizualisation, if you create a neighborhood measuring, let's say 600 meter x 400 meters and try to render, you wil get nothing. And no warning message.
Now if you select the whole scene and scale it down /10, it works
Check your scene size ; perhaps it is simply too large.

I'll have to check out the things that both of you mentioned. I have had to take out and then re-add objects before in new scenes, so at least I am familiar with that.
As far as the architecture size; it could be big I guess, I'm not sure where that boundary is. It is a cathedral (inside) and I'd say the whole room is about 2 x 5 if using the white lines on the TS grid, or e.g., about 1/8?? of the grid. Is that big?
oh, how do you select everything in a scene as you mention?
Thanks
