I'm considering replacing my couple of 19" monitors (Belinea 10.20.35 showing 1680x1050 pixels), with one single 27" monitor at a 2560x1440 resolution.
We have some nice 27" monitors around these days :
Dell U2713H
Asus PB278Q
Fujitsu P27T-6
Viewsonic VP2770-LED
And much more...
The MVA panel display I love in my Belinea is not available in the 2560x1440 resolution. We have the IPS/PLS technology instead.
IPS and PLS does not have the cool deep dark/black and color accuracy from MVA panels though, and suffers issues like the visible presence of glows from the led lightning, some flickering sometime when the user reduces the light intensity, and too much blue or red depending on the setting modes.
That's why I hesitate.
I may give a try at the Dell U2713H (not the U2713HM which is a 8bits panel vs 10bits) first to balance the good/bad of that new generation monitors with no risk, since Dell offer a free return if the user is not satisfied.
Is there any tS users here using a 2560x1440 monitor ?
Any comments on the references given above ?
I remember someone saying the tS6.x was not capable of a full screen display on such 27" monitors. Do you experience the same with tS7.6 ?
Thanks in advance for your comments !

I can't imagine reading the text on a monitor that large.
I can barely see the text on some software with my smallish 23 inch monitor at 1920 x 1080.

Walk by faith, not by sight.

I have one Fujitsu 27" monitor with a 1920x1080p resolution, I upgraded from a 23" inch and I can really say that though it's clearly gives me a larger workspace than the 23", I still wouldn't want a bigger monitor/resolution than what I've currently got, 1080p is just right for me.
I do have a triple monitor set-up though with two additional HP 22" monitors to either side of my 27". This just expands the work area and doesn't add to the vertical resolution. My full resolution is 5280x1080p.
If you really must have a 2560x1440 resolution, then maybe you should upgrade. I don't know if trueSpace can handle it or not. However if you can live with 1080p, I strongly recommend going with that and investing in a 27" 1080p with a higher response rate instead.

1920 is good but 1080 lines is not enought for me. And 3 monitors have the same problem. I have a 16/10 screen with 1920x1200. It is a good thing for a low price.
