I thought it was a fake but this woman is real.
How to live with giants without being confused with a baby. Credit card is as big as an iPad.

Wait, she is an adult? How old is she? I mean, I've heard of people who are small and people who have a lack of growth disease (not sure what it's called) but they usually aren't this... ..to scale.

22 years old. What is surprising is that she does not seem misshapen as a dwarf. Who know this disease (if it is a disease)?

By the way, I'm not sure if it's really a disease but I do know that people born that way usually don't live longer than 20-30 years.

you speak of people suffering from achondroplasia. i don't think it is that. it is that kind of people that give legend as Lilliputian in the past.

Is that guy larger than normal? If not, she has to be small as a doll.
How is her intelligence - is it at a normal level for a 22 year old? I ask because such a small head has to mean a smaller than normal brain and shouldn't that have some impact?

According to the posts there she is 4 years of age and not 22 - and that would make more sense.
Then I can understand how she can be small like a doll.

Sure it is the size of the head that is incredible not the age (22 was the name of the photo). even a baby have a head bigger. Thank for the link. It is what i search about the desease named "primordial dwarfism".

But Einstein had a different type of connections between the mathematical and 3d visualization areas, so he could think on math much faster and efficiency

Some brain are bigger but can also be lighter. The volume is not everything. Einstein's brain was dissected and studied (after his death of course ): the parietal lobes were larger than normal, while its overall volume was smaller. I hope these little people grow this stuff in the confines of their heads.

Is it just me or are we a bit disillusioned from 3d at the moment... ?

I have little time to do 3D projects unless they are quick ones. I also just don't feel like using TS for a big project due to all the 7.5 - 7.6 troubles so I'm waiting until I can migrate to another program.

I think things like that are discouraging a lot of TS'ing or 3D'ing right now but people still want to participate in the friendly/community aspects of the forum.

The spirit is willing but the computer is weak.

Seems like we are all a bit exhausted or lets say our computers too.....
I´ve been putting more time into photography lately mainly because its my main job
and I need to keep my business going so I am using this forum more socialy too at the moment rather the making constructive
3d work or any 3d progress at all.....
Big scenes need a lot of time and I´m only working on one 3d project for now with a few others from the site...
Well I guess it will come back pretty soon....

there are not many creative right now on this forum. this is not my case. between several design projects realized in 3D, I find time and motivation to continue my movie. The best way to motivate the troops is an example:

About troubles with TS that discourage users, I think the reason is primarily lack of motivation or lack of purpose. A tool should not take over our decisions. It is a mistake to expect the magic tool. Should not wait for this moment to act. Try to be always on top with no real purpose and you'll be the first jaded. I want so much to do but be at the forefront of technology is the least of my worries. Because we will always be technologically outdated. I do not want to spend my life waiting and doing nothing. Race performance sometimes produces the opposite effect. Life is short and you should take advantage now.

Spend a happy holiday, drink and come back full of enthusiasm and projects.

I'm in a learning stage right now.
I just updated my MOI Nurbs modeling program to 2.0 and need to learn the new features. I also ordered a manual on learning Silo 2.0 to study for the Holidays. I'm also creating an animation project which will utilize JeffRoig's Poser tutorial he posted for us here.
Plus I've been working on an entry for the current MMC which isn't ready to show yet.
Not much visibility from me currently but that will change soon. I still love using trueSpace in all my projects. For some reason I don't see the bugs everyone else seems to get. Lucky me.

p.s. I always enjoy viewing everyone's current work posted here. Marcel's work is also my eye candy!

Hmmmmm I beta tested Moi 3d version 2.0 for half a year and made a lot of models in it ... bottom line I cant even open my started work because i havent updated yet.....
Guess i´m pretty slow at the moment....

I agree with Finis - I am trying to find motivation to move to another program.
However, I find it hard to find this motivation since I was really happy with TS. Of course, I could continue to use TS but it is eventually a dead end.

Me to have focused more in photography lately. I also have changed nickname on this forum...
To top it off, I am in the process of changing workplace and employer.
So it is hard to find creativity to do something in 3D also.

I think we have a lull in activity around the end of the year every year. I think the holidays and family take over much of our time from Hallowe'en until New Years. I also find that professionally we all have a ton to do at this time of year as well.

I think the diversity of topics is coming from our desire to become more of a community.

When I think about it, I have known people on this board for the better part of 7 years and I have to admit I haven't made a lot of friends outside of this group that have lasted as long.

I hope you all have a great holiday and are ready to come back to the fold refreshed and invigorated for a fun year.
