Here is a test with the new core i9 (6 core multithreading, vista see 12 core) compared with an "old" e6600. this core i9 have only 2.4 ghz as the e6600. It is easy to see that the ghz have less importance with new processor. I am curious to know if TS will use the 12 core for the rendering. i don't know if the soft have a limit for that or if the code can use 12 core.

it is a good thing to wait the core i9 is on the market to buy a core i7 cheaper (in a few month). I think the core i9 will be a good gift for christmas 2010. ;)

If I remember what Roman said is that Truespace 7 uses as many cores as you have.
but what he didnt know at that stage was how poorly Windows 7 performs with TS7.......
Roman also said some time ago that the bug wont be solved for some time to come...
