thanks trueBlue , i can get in to the 1109 , will try the other spaces later after I take my son to work.
@ ping yes I get request timed out , but can still get into the server using trueSpace, so it seems it might not matter about ping responder on the router being enabled in the other cases of not being able to connect to a trueServe.
thanks
Paul

Nice tB!
Just to help me to open my server...
Are you behind a router? If yes, how did you make the server work?
Which method you used in the server? 1 or 2?
Thanks in Advance

Re: trueBlue's Shared Spaces
WOW trueBlue...
I LOVE the underwater ruins scene, it kicks cone!
That is an awesome fog effect, is very cool and soothing to be in. It is effective fog too, lol, I used the widget to fly through the dome glass into the sea and went a little ways out there, turned, and couldn't find the dome again without using reset camera, lol!
well done!
I also solved the maze, going to the center that is, lol, on the way out I hit an error and a disconnect, may have ben on my end, not sure, here is the screencap of it.
Very good maze too!
The underwater ruins scene is definitely the coolest place online I have been so far, and a perfect place to have chats! Very well done!

Re: trueBlue's Shared Spaces
By the way folks...
in all this avatar systems testing trueBlue and I are doing today, one of the things that we now have which I am not sure everyone is aware of is this....
we have a panel with icons for either a left click or right click on each, with each producing a different visible avatar change in realtime to all present.
This is essentially a macro, like all good virtual worlds have, where we can add various "emotes" and "morphs" and animated gestures to a panel like this, and with one click you are walking and all can see it, or another click and you offer to shake hands and all can see it, etc.
this was vital and it works fine.

Re: trueBlue's Shared Spaces
Am following the development of these shared spaces with great interest. Logged into the /1109 to /1112 sites with TS7.61 without any problems. When using TruePlay got some yellow wireframing though - guess the fix is not in place in these scenes. Hope someday to have a server, but it won't be for a while yet. Don't want my good machine on line all the time. Really nice to see things moving forward in such a positive fashion. Thanks TrueBlue for the sites.

Thanks I noticed that the script was not running from the server as well. It works offline. Still investigating why but until then here is a more permanent solution:Morion wrote:Am following the development of these shared spaces with great interest. You will not be able to see your self in a tS761 mirror but other users do show.
Note: Not sure if anybody notices but the Shark chases your PC's mouse and Camera follows the Shark when activated.

Thanks for the link to the default truePlay setup page, trueBlue.
Unfortunately, the zip file appears to be corrupted - at least according to my computer. (When I try to unzip it, it tells me there are no files and/or it is corrupted). Could you please check it or provide an alternative source??
Thank you for your help, in advance.

I had a similar problem three times regarding files downloaded last week using the usual right-click to download method I have grown accustomed to over the years. Same result lately, often a rightclick to download ends up corrupting the file lately,
I just followed the link in question here, tried a right-click download and it was corrupted, no files to extract, but immediately afterward used a left-click to download and test the same file, and the left-click method produced a non-corrupt saved file which extracted fine.
I have no idea why that is happening lately, whether it is some forum php issue or a new Firefox bug, since I use Firefox lately.
In any event, just try left clicking that particular download link this time, it should save and extract without any issues then.
Welcome to the shared spaces enthusiasts!

Re: trueBlue's Shared Spaces
Left clicking didn't work either. Even tried another computer altogether but can only download part of the zipped file before it closes. Sometime 68kb, sometime 72kb, sometimes 140kb - but never the full file. Can't understand this erratic behaviour. Might try again tomorrow. Could be something to do with the fact I'm in New Zealand - a long way away. I use IE, don't have Firefox. Thanks anyway for the suggestions.

Re: trueBlue's Shared Spaces
Another suggestion is to meet any of us inside an online shared space while you are running trueSpace7.61, then we can simply load the objects you need into any given scene online, and you can then save the scene to your scenes library in trueSpace for offline examination later, where you will then have the files you need and can further place parts in your objects library from there.Morion wrote:Left clicking didn't work either. Re: trueBlue's Shared Spaces
I've updated all of my spaces to include the script that fixes the tP2 Desktop. I wanted to make it silent because I hate nag screens but for some reason tP2 no longer runs scripts upon loading. Well I could have except I could not isolate the script to only install to tP2 users and not tS761 users which is not wanted. Unless there is something messed up on my installs. Now tS761 supports this action which it did not before. Trick or Treat?
