Because the futur could be on the cloud, there is a problem for many country.
Do you know most of country have an average speed less than 5 mbps? that include the USA (a surprise for me). It is not enought for a cloud computing. Japan have an average speed of 61 mbps. Average mean you can have a hight speed connexion but most of the other have between 1 or 2 mbps in most of the country! (next week i will have a 100 mbps with optic fiber

)

I got 25 Mbps and dont have any problems here not even with Truespace shared spaces no big lag time....
one of the lower in fibre optics price range.....
I dont think that cloud computing will come that fast.....
I see some updates of my software in the next few years to come on a very low and steady basis but not very much earth moving.....
maybe Thea when it comes.....
Basically I´m happy with what I got now......

25 mbps is very good. I think about a 3d realtime server. The connexion need 25 or more download per seconde because it is the server who calculate the render (very different than trueserve or secondlife). I don't think that is possible with 1 or 2 mbps. Internet need to progress a lot before to change our method of work. It is not possible for most poor country.

I have a 2 Mpbs, but I could have 8 (Both are ADSL) since we are a POOR COUNTRY as you said.

Brazil is a big country and it have a future.

the problem of optics fiber is the cost per kilometer. USA or china need a long network. Europe and Japan are small and the density of people is a good thing to do hight speed network.

Anyway I think that it worth, but due to the lack of internet in Brazil (it's not everybody that have it) I think that priority is to spread it and then improve, the problem is that it will take several years and I remember well from the modem (56 kbps) when USA and others were already with 2Mpbs and ADSL, god that was annoying.
