I would like to know what is the best for a compatibility with trueSpace : ati or nvidia?
I don't speak about speed, price only compatibility and i don't use game. It is only for my job.
Thank.

Let's do a poll :D

My opinion, is Nvidia is solid rock, 100% compatible with all, in truespace i never get a error or compatibility issue. I think the Soft Shadow filtering from workspace side needs a nvidia chipset (maybe a ATI pal can verify that)

So my vote goes for NVIDIA also you have cuda support (not used by truespace but yes on many other 3d apps)

BTW, i also do not play games..

NVIDIA

No particular reason other than I have one.

I have used NVIDIA for my last 4 pc's. I have found the driver support more consistent over time. I stopped using ATI because of the drivers... AMD may have improved on that track record.

ATI Radeon HD 5670 no problems at all. Steady as a rock.
I do agree about considering Cuda support that Prodigy mentioned.

Nvidia GeForce GTX 460 here. Works perfect with trueSpace on a Windows 7 PC. Everything worked in trueSpace (7.61), even the link editor in the workspace without the unofficial update. :)

Marcel ! Remember 6 is the future not 7........
I never had problems with the graphic cards.. but I do have problems running 7 on new computers.... while 6.5 runs without problems.....
i guess that even in 10 years I will be able to run version 6 and i will find dozens of problems with version 7.....
