making the rim of a hat
hi guys I am trying to make the rim of a cold weather hat i want it to be an oval around the outside if the hast half circle. i am having trouble because i cant find the lathe tool and i cant think of any other way to do it well. If you have a suggestions let me know.

Model side or earlier versions of TS:
You could make a cylinder. Use the resize tool to make it thin and stretch it into an oval. Point edit or Boolean tools to use just part of the oval.
You could do point editing to extrude/sweep faces of the main hat body and shape them into the rim.
