Re: Pine Tree generator?
You can try the free version of Bryce 7. I know the Pro version does, the free may exports trees.

It's not really a generator, but it is free and they are from XFrog, a tad bit heavy for some projects, but you did not specify what you needed them for.

Else look into one of the game engine sites, they have lower poly alternatives that might fit the bill for you.
BTW, I think SPaceKdec is onto something, certainly dirty anyway

There Arbaro
http://arbaro.sourceforge.net/"
Tree [d]
http://www.frecle.net/index.php?show=treed.about"
Both are free tree gens, Arbaro is Java based, and will export as obj or dxf, the models aren't textures but does apply uv's, maybe a tad difficult to use but it can create nice tree
Tree[d] very easy to use but a bit low poly, does apply textures and the trees do look ok from a distance
Like rjeff said there's Bryce which is better than the above

Thanks for the links. I am going to try Bryce, although it seems a little complicated to work.

Re: Pine Tree generator?
coool links to that free generators!!! i was looking for some some time ago. I also remember the TreDO tsx pluging for trueSpace. But its unstable in new tS coz its ooold plugin. But works very well in free to download tS3.2. Then you just save it to cob and load it up into tS7.6 or any other. Makes quite nice trees too and its easy to use.
But those two seems even better. I need to take a look at them as I will have some time.
