A tip for sculptris fish painting: If you make a fish, for example a smaller fish and you want it to have some semi-transparent parts (for fins and the like) you can paint a transparency map onto it in sculptris before painting the actual colours. Just use black and white.
It's a neat little trick I found out as I made the fish for my aquarium.
