Steinie 2010 --Using true Space ---What An Odyssey

Post by Steinie »

Instead of Sailing, Kayaking, Camping Trips, and fantastic Mountainous Adventures you've all been making me envious of.
I shall counter your Pictures of Eden with hits below the belt...

I will temp you with my "Adam's Ribs"...

Eve please pass the apples and the napkins, muaaahaaaahaaahaaa.....

Details:
These take 5-6 hours to cook in my charcoal grill at 225-250 degrees.
I use a dry rub before cooking and Kansas City Sauce right before removing from
the coals.
Mesquite wood for the smoke. Cowboy fire wood for the coals.
This picture was 4 full racks or baby back ribs.
Samuel Adams Lager beer served chilled.

That's just cruel. Maybe I can put barbecue sauce on cheap wieners and imagine.

I hear ya Finis; but looks like your biz is growing; soon you'll have a monster grill! :D

btw Steinie; how do you keep the temp that low? Do you have to continuously add charcoal
over that time?

Froo,
Yes the secret is using Cowboy Charcoal and adding a little at a time. It burns at a much lower temperature then charcoal briquettes. When the bones can be pulled free from the meat with a light tug, their done.
It sounds like a lot of work until you realize that you are sitting on a lawn chair with a bottle of beer the whole time... :bananacheers:

I can picture Finis in a couple years OWNING a BBQ restaurant and I'm the cook!

When I worked in security if we wanted to make an area unpopular for teens we would play 1950's era country and western music.

:bananaguitar:

Shall we start a recipe section? That could be a lot of fun as well.

If we condemned criminal to listen this music 24 hours a day for 20 years, there would be no crime. Maybe be a solution...
