After modeling few things I noticed that there is some distortions. I'm not an armature, so my question is: is that limitation of my computer or is it a modeling technique? Around the switch on the handle and many other places. How do I avoid this problem?

Re: Distortions..
Show us the wire frame and all will be apparent.
I don't think you are an "armature" either.

Does Workspace's - Smooth Normals tool help?

The thing inside of the handle is the light component.
The Smooth Normals tool did help a little, but still doesn't look right.

Re: Distortions..
#1 shows some weird jagged edges and I'm not sure what you did to
cause that. Bad geometry is to blame here. Adding edge loops when transitioning from the body to handle can help also.
#2 shows problems while you were building the model. Probably caused by using using the
wrong coordinate system. Stick to the "Object Coordinates" so that everything is square and
parallel.
It doesn't look like you used the Boolean tools here but stay away from them if you can.
Thanks for posting.

Thanks Steinie, I do need to practice more to improve. No matter how good or bed I am, I love this software. With little experience one can put their ideas to test and see it. Before I tried Blender and it appeared to me to be very difficult to use, unlike TrueSpace. I know it was sold in the passed for about $600, why it's free now?
