Thanks Draise.
Here is an update on just the ship.
I'm going to give it some antennae, some bridge structures, a few greebles and engines in back.
I like the way this is looking so far. Suggestions? It's supposed to be a big guy, like an carrier, so I ought to add landing pads or strips, and hangar bay doors, running lights.

Honestly the thing was created randomly starting with a geodesic sphere and remesh modifiers in Blender. The shape just popped out :D so I started detailing it.

Here's an update I hope you enjoy.
I've changed my direction in creating the detailing & gizmos.
Here's a quick render from Blender.

Belongs in a sci fi movie. Very versatile original design. You can go many directions with it.

The design is very very beautiful, and I love it. And yes, like Finis said, this could go so many directions!

Here is the nearly finished piece. I'll post the final version in Finished Artwork.
I have to make one more modeling pass for the rear of the ship.
Rendering speeds are pretty good.

This is a large space cruiser exploring the upper atmosphere o a gas giant planet.
