I am new to TS and from what I have seen in the videos it looks great! I am having problems running it on my system (see the link for a picture of what happens). The 2D window will not refresh. I have tried running the app in different comparability modes, different video card settings, used 7.6 as well as 7.61, un-installed installed several times, re-downloaded to make sure there were no problems. I even bought a new video card today since my old one was not officially supported by the OS. It does seem to work fine on Vista Ultimate 64 for the few minutes I used it.
My config:
Windows 7 Ultimate 64Bit (RTM)
AMD Quad Core 3.2 processor
4 Gig ram
Radeon HD 4650 1G video card with the latest drivers from ATI
(original video card was ATI X1650 512Meg)

Ah, have seen this bug before at XP. But it gots fixed then. Seems that with Windows 7 it gets reintroduced.
Here we go. My guess is that this in combination with an ATI card is the cause. trueSpace was initially made for XP, and fitted to Vista later on. Windows 7 is not officially supported. That would`ve happened later. And i am sure then this bug would`ve been fixed. But then development of trueSpace stopped ...Windows 7 Ultimate 64Bit (RTM)

I get a similar thing with Vista, the only thing I have in common is the AMD's but there is a know problem with the cpu's being out of sync, turning off multi threading solved the problem in modelside, you can asign Vista to use only one CPU in the task manager which also helped

I tried forcing the app to just one CPU by making a change to the shortcut. Did not fix the problem. I then set the compatibility mode to XP SP3 launched the app, then set the CPU to just use one. Still no luck. Looks like my option is to RDP into my Vista system and use TS that way.

Oh, just one more thing, not sure if it makes a difference or not... On Windows 7 the background in the 2D window is white. On Vista, it is a checkerboard pattern.
