Asteroid Mobile Spacestation

Post by MikomDude »

An idea I had for a large mobile space station for research and exploration.

I suppose this is now part of my Space 3000 universe where it will fill the role of a spacefaring colony. There are several of these in various places of the galaxy, usually on asteroids or small moons populated mainly by scientist and explorers.

That's a pretty cool concept. Looks fine! The little spacecraft on the pad looks cool. Can I get a close up? Pwetty please?

Thanks! :)

The little spacecraft is my M40 Asteroid Class Explorer(ACE), it's a really old model I built at least two years ago around the time I started modeling. It has always been one of my faves and I've been trying to rebuild it with the skills I have now but somehow it never turns out quite the same.

You can see all the images I've got of the ACE here.

Link To Video I suggest you look on Youtube because the forum size is a bit small

Here is me playing around a little with the turrets. Dunno why the vid goes so fast, must be my screen-cam screwing up.

Cool seeing you use the sliders like that!!!

I am gonna try make some scripts with slider based orientation controls maybe in the orientation panel or something. Or in the base models or something, so when you make a new model, it'd already have sliders. Hmmm....

Well are you an explorer, scientist and/or depressed orphan with an unknown past destined to save the galaxy? If so then yes, we've got plenty of room for people like that :bananacool2:
