110 days to render
marcel wrote:superb quality! He need a render farm.
Amazing,
Sad, time ago i made the contact between Caligari and RenderBus a very quality render farm.. after some approaches Caligari stop support the idea and that was the end of a serious render farm for truespace..
I must do something similar to this with my reach stacker

Wait until next year. You will have the core i9 with 6 core hyperthreading.
your animation is fantastic and very beautiful. the ending is a bit cryptic - f**k of rendering - although after rendering for 110 days i am not surprised! haha
thanks for sharing,

nooooo iI didn't do it, in my dreams maybe lol
I get withdrawal symtoms after a scene's been rendering for 101 minutes
My only claim to fame is I have owned one of the cars in that clip.... the Lada thing
Things like that make me continue to explore the 3D world, because I know that if I try hard for several years, I'll reach it!
The animation can't be judge is too good for it...

WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Very, very cool rendering
I'm really amazed, impressed and what to said.
If I only had time to do more with 3D. I'm just stuck sitting with my pupils works and someone doing that nice 3D work. I have a plan to rob a bank. If not, maybe in the prison I had time to do stuff like this. But in the end I will miss my family. Is there somebody out there who have a suggestion what to do!!!!
This is my beautiful car and I would like to use it instead of the Chevrolet.

You can use computers in the prison? Sweden is really a first world country...
What you need to do is... do slowly, at least you will finish someday... better than do nothing!

This is no politics, and way out of this the topics!!! Only an answer to Leonis reply of my post. In the swedish prisons there is an aim to get the prisornes an education. Of course the people who are sent to prisons had a difficult life with many problems to deal with. The aim is to get them into the normal life after the imprisoment. Sometimes it's works and sometimes not. I think it's a good idea. I'm just joking in this case, I would never would like to enter a prison.
Oh, that's classy!
I would like to do some car animation as animation test, vehicles are always part of the scene, you need to know how to deal with them...

yup - that's me - always spotting things that usually would prefer to remain unseen! it must be an overly sensitive nose or something!
I'm impressed with the 110 days for rendering... but I'm even more impressed with just 5 days to make it...

I think it is more reasonable to think 5 days of work for the storyboard and special effects assuming that the 3d models of cars were already done. But it remains fast. However I'm not impressed with the 110 days for rendering but I'm impressed with the quality of the result. That is the most important.
Yeah, I considered that the models was already done. The quality is amazing! It is with V ray, right?

this shows you how easy is (on some other softwares) make realistic car movements.. On my tests with the reach stacker i can get quite similar image quality, the problem is how to move the camera on a realistic way or even worst, how the cars bounce and react depending on each movement..
Yeah the camera make the experience more realistic, isn't hard, just that is boring and needs to be detailed do it... The car bounces I think he uses some kind of plugin or physics engine because it's really good, and almost impossible do it without what he is using...

On model side you can create an object with physical attributes and glue it with a cam above the object. is ideal for bouncing a cam. you can also glue an animated car with a cam. then you can modify some key frame of the cam to enhance the effect.
