Bitkar!! I'm dissapointed on your comment. A new member to the community and I we have to give him/her a positive support.

Wisard. Learning TS is a long process to bee fully scilled. You have a good start.

I would place the ligtht in the middle of the room. Also place a lamp in the room there the lights come from. I have added a picture to give an image what I am thinking of. Try to learn to modeling your own objects. Have an idea and build it in TS.

And Keep on posting what you are doing!!!!!

If you want to use wood for your images may I suggest you download the wood workshop. It is a piece of freeware that produces wood textures quite quickly.

You can download it here ... http://www.spiralgraphics.biz/download_ww.htm.

Are you using workspace or modelside of TS?

Looks like everyone's early TS pictures. You'll be making great stuff soon enough.

I don't think Bitkar meant anything bad. The stock textures in that picture which were used so often in TS3's day give it the TS3 look.

Thanks for that link V3rd3. Someone put it in Steinie's link list.

ok, maybe i said it way too straightforward. If this is your first image, its ok. You should first read about lights, materials (which parameter is what and how to set it up) etc. Just get some info on what you are doing.

Sometimes I just see lack of negative criticism on this forum, which can have (surprisingly) very positive effect and imho is essential. So get yourself together (read something, experiment with materials and lights mainly) and show us whats in you.

to your second image: You have to see even as a beginer that some objects dont have shadows visible etc. That it just doesnt look ok. Ask yourself why and try to find that mistake. Take physics into acount. Its good to know something about realworld light and material properties (3D CG is based on realworld physics, keep that in mind)

Bitkar as an answer on your post I agree.

There are lots of "great work" but it is also important to give positive critism like: Try to do this to make a greater work; Have you thought of this?; I would like to see more of...; What are your intention of this work and how can we support you to get the result that you want.

That is what I should get in return when I post something.
