Fantastic animations! Made me think of Death in Terry Pratchetts Discworld novels.

Hi guys! Thanks for your comments! this short was produced by the animation studio "Simpals" which is located in the Republic of Moldova. It took us about half a year to do it with about 30 people in our team (including musicians working on the soundtrack). We did all animation in Maya, for rendering we used a small render farm for 10 computers and it took us a month to render the whole cartoon.

Dji is such an attractive character that we decided to produce a series of him. Now we're working on the second episode.
