HELP inside TS

Post by neighborlee »

I was also just wondering about the HELP menu.

Yesterday I installed several files; TS itself (reinstalled, as in windows 8 has been a bit rough around the edges too, but I've had help from MS so its going a lot better now, a month into it or so), PDFMAN, video something or other and the patch.

The HELP menu is very nice and shows up appropriately, but when I choose a section to get help from, it opens up a PDF file outside the HELP system.

I hope that's not normal behavior as its not a consistent approach, but if its all we have atm , I'll accept it and be happy about it ;)_

I just wanted to ask, as it just didn't seem right, and indeed I wondered If maybe I had got a bad install, or didn't install all of it in the right order somehow.

With the Unofficial Update there is two modified help files.
Workspace is a PDF file(s) "Includes Workspace and some Model help information"
Model is a compiled help file which was included in tS6.

Can you post a screenshot?

I can put up a screenie, but I doubt one is needed.

When I click HELP>manual, the html menu does come up in my browser , but then given each one is a PDF file, it then opens up my pdf viewer.

I just wanted to make sure that was the intended behavior.

thanks
