If you had "Product Illustration" that would have been my chief selection. Also, I didn't check "Scripting/Programming 3D" only because I haven't done any yet ... but I'd like to. And I also didn't check "Animation" for the same reason---I haven't done it yet---but I plan to. In fact, I may have a large project for it in the future.

I suppose I should have added a request for those who entered other to add a reply here with what the "other" would be.... .... Geez this getting old thing sucks....

Glad to know that I'm not the only old geezer here.

I checked "Other" and here's what I was thinking of:

• Creating 3D illustrations for training (example: an animated cutaway of a transducer for my speaker design software).
• Creating illustrations for books (3D versions for electronic books and 2D versions for printed books).

Thanks for the clarification FL. I was thinking of Splinters authoring Buddy's World when I created the "cartooning" class... I should have had illustration as a dedicated class.

The only problem is that if I add illustration as a choice the poll will completely reset and we lose the data we have collected so far.

Perhaps you can go back to your original post and edit it with a bold request to post details if you choose "other". It's more likely to be seen in your original post.

Also, can you edit a poll response without resetting the poll? If so, you could add "- please post details" or some such after "other".

An earlier poll that I did on the old web site reset results to 0 for everything when I changed anything.... edits to questions or to the message itself.....
