Vista (as many other things) is an operating system created by paranoid who love ridiculous (and expensive
) protections. This fact is born with Internet, presumably to replace the Cold War between USA and USSR. After the "evil" Soviets, the alien, the ends of the world, now is the time of virus because modern man is bored without imminent threats. his imagination is great when he tries to scare. So make concessions and begin a new year by taking the time to live without stress, without being a fashion victim and you will see a world that is not so bad that the media show.

Quite frankly thats not how things are going....marcel wrote:Vista (as many other things) is an operating system created by paranoid who love ridiculous (and expensive) protections. The companies arent interesting in keeping things as they are.. they are eager to sell.... so you get faster computers and even bigger Os´s that kill the performance.
Thats actually a vicious circle...... If it just were for the new and best it wouldnt be a problem but things stop working and your sometimes pressed to change.
But I wouldnt call it totally bad because if you ask me if i still want to work with MS Dos 4.1 and 20mb harddisc and 1 mb ram on a 286 processor my answer is definitly no!But I dont need the newest and last either... I still work with Photoshop version 6 from years ago.....
If you find things that work for you then there is no reason to follow some kind of fashion..... I drive a car that was built 1993 and still works.....
but i made the right decision some years ago when I bought it... I bought something that lasts and works..... same with cameras and anything else......
You got to know what you need and then rely on that for some time...only those that dont know what they want and make to large compromises end up
always changing things .. mainly because they are unhappy......same with people you got to live with the wife you choose .......

Rayman: I don't speak about keeping things as they are or choose a better computer or not. consume or not is not the problem. Appreciate what we have without having to worry even more. Enjoy the present. Do not be afraid of being "overwhelmed" compared to the values that our world impose. These are human values increasingly rare which Helping to shape a better world. This does not exclude the progress. not to be a fashion victim we don't forget this human values and we can be on top of technology just because it makes we happy and not always changing things because we are unhappy.

I actually never had the feeling that i not appreciate what I have.....marcel wrote:Rayman: I don't speak about keeping things as they are or choose a better computer or not. consume or not is not the problem. The problems that I have are of a different nature... one of my best friends gets chemotherapy now and I cant help him ..... those are problems
things that have to do with health ..... things we cant change that easily....that goes around in my mind..all the other things we have a certain influence on.

Sorry for your friend. When we have real problems, we realize that what we have is only meaningful if it can help us improve our lives. Everything that is superfluous has fewer values. This should be the same thing when we have no problems. That's what makes us more human: improving its tools to optimize what we can do and not to feel able to track progress.
