Re: lamborghini gallardo
Thought someone had made a dredge post of monumental proportions for a minute. Great start, I can see the shape of it already, and let me say a fantastic car you've picked, because it just so happens that a short while back I made the same car
here's how I went about it and here's how I textured it. The textures are a real pain, car's don't have much specular highlights but reflection that increases the sharper the viewing angle on that surface is, for a curved surface it's a nightmare!
saves me rewriting lines and lines of description. It's an awkward concept to try and make work at first, but you might be better off working in panels, all the individual panels on the version I made we seperate objects, what you can then do is actually just delete faces, extrude the edges around the hole and you've got panel gaps and things like headlight borders, it even works for putting rips in clothes...albeit very very messy
What you can then do is subdivide it all, and not extract the final mesh

Steve did you post your car as a wip? I would love to see it start to finish, as I suck at organic modeling

Welcome to the forum wizard!
This will be interesting since most people have had little luck with nurbs in TS but yours is looking good so far.
I hope W!zard doesn't put a hex on you for the similar name.
