All record the screen.
Each have different output methods or the way to document on screen what is recorded.
Windows Movie Maker is not a screen capture, but is good for recorded and assembling videos once you have them.

I have just tryed them and none of them worked .
I have win 7. aviscreen recorded but does not play back
The rest not good my pc crashed

You might want to try BBFlashback. It is compatible with windows 7...the free version might be enough for you depending on what you want to do (it will export to both AVI or Flash). If you want Quicktime or Wmv you will have to buy the $89 package. It's also very easy to use.

I remember using a cracked version of Hypercam, it worked really well though most free screen-cams are just aweful =(
