I just upgraded to Vue 8 infinite and surprise the promised character animations
via Collada format also works with Truespace 7.61 workspace side bones via Collada export.
I even managed to get fully animated characters with bvh into Vue with a single import.
No tweaking nothing.. almost like drag and drop.
Vue 8 even imports Truespace hair.
It would be possible maybe to import even cloth if it were keyframable inside Truespace but that doeant work yet.
Vue also imports Poser up to version 8 with cloth and hair and Daz studio with all attributes including lipsynch.
Here are the first files that I rendered with the horse and the male avatar from the library with the defalt animations that are attached to it.
You can also rerigg in Vue 8..
I must try out if everything works with Blender....

character animation now works also with animeeple and you can save the animation out from Vue and brush the characters on with ecosystems so that you have hundreds of moving characters (instancing).....here is an animeeple character with a free animeeple movement... you could use a few dozen of these with dozens of movementsand brush an army of thousands of people..

This sounds GREAT Rayman :) I was thinking of getting Vue 8, but only the Pioneer or Easel version. Is Collada an optional plug in pack? Know how much Collada costs?

Its part of the esprit version upwards I think but not pioneer !
Collada even works with Tuespace physics simulations as I´ve shown some time ago.

hehehe, exactly... haven't even learnt everything about trueSpace yet and I've got Carrara as well that I haven't started with... plus of course Bryce and Vue and Terragen...

There´s some news on this because I just got the newsletter about both the Vue personal learning edition and the vue 8 trial
