Re: Video card sugestions?
Well if you want a good Nvidia card like the Geforce GTX 580, why not get that one
I've got the GTX 460, though mine seems to be some upgraded/non-standard version of it. I think it's supposed to be a 2GB card but mine has 4GB... Very odd, anyway, I'm quite happy with it. So if I were you I'd be looking for something in between the GTX 460 and the 580.

Just don't settle for anything.
I recommend this one.

I run a 560 Ti and it does a wonderful job. Battlefield 3 renders particularly well ... er... so does Vue and 3DCoat works real well.
I am running Win 7 64-bit so occasionally run into glitches with TS.

Re: Video card sugestions?
I'm due to upgrade my personal computer, and I'm thinking to get medium one because it's got a GPU of 880mhz and 3 gig RAM. My techie has one he knows with a GPU of 1100mhz by MSI on an ATI chipset, but I forgot which serial it had. It also was reasonably priced. I prefer MSI boards with ATI because of price for quality. Though I have never had problems with Nvidia cards.
As far as I know, you want a stronger GPU for faster realtime rendering specifically for DirectX 11 or gaming. For video rendering or multiple monitors, you want more video RAM. But RAM shouldn't really sway your graphics immensely after you get higher than 1024/2048 MB. (tho extra never hurts!!)
I do like the looks of the GTX 580!!!
But I think I would purchase in my resonably uneducated preference this one with a higher memory clock speed of 5500mhz with a comparing Core Clock Speed of 1010mhz and 3 gig of ram. Shame the site doesn't have enough info on it.
I'm curious to see what you get!
