There's a new version of Carrara 8 Pro for download.

More importantly, there's a Go-Z plug-in to Zbrush 4.0 for Carrara 8 Pro users (32 or 64 bit.)

Bought it ($59.95), had a play and it was fun. Lots of potential with such a plug-in.
