Here is the drilling machine I've been working on for the past couple of days, I think it turned out nicely (except for the realism part)
Comments and suggestion are welcome.

I like that. You might want to consider putting some weights on the other end. If that trailer lifts that drill it will tip!!

Hmn, I don't think so. The way the generator is deployed is enough counter balance for just that part. Then I think the hydraulic system might not be enough to push that thing up...rjeff wrote:You might want to consider putting some weights on the other end. Re: Drill Machine Final
The model looks great! There's a lot of pieces and that's add a realism. But I agree that you should put some counter-weight in the other side, maybe some kind of engine that should be doing the pressure on the hydraulic system, but if it's hydraulic I think those cylinders that raises the drill should be thicker.
Anyway that's just suggestions to make it more realistic and possible

Yeah, maybe you're right. I wont do anything to the model as it is now though, at least not in the near future. It's mainly because it will be a lot of work to redo those parts, they are in a position where they are a bit to built-in to enlarge. However, if I ever get bored, I'll see what I can do.

I hope also to see it with a texture.

Re: Drill Machine Final
Yeah, that would be cool
Only texturing isn't really my strong point...
