Just purchased this and my first impressions are that it's a little gem of an app. It's a nice complement to Photoline which I also highly recommend (especially if you export as psd layers in lightworks, it has the linear light layer option, something no other PS-clones have as far as I know).
Sale ends friday.

Re: Xara Xtreme 2 for $19
The software is really good. I have the latest version, v5. I don't know why I upgrade really as I don't use it too often but also they seem to have little in the way of changes between version that I notice.
2 things I like about it are the speed of the software and basically how easy it is to use and if there's anything you're not sure of, check out the training videos which are great and come with/on the CD.
I also like the way you can buy it and get an unlock code for the trial immediately. The only real reason to put the CD version on is that you can't patch the download version when there's updates. That would be another little grumble - you have to uninstall and reinstall to then be able to patch.
