Possum From Hell

Post by jamesmc »

Starting to get back into 3D with a different route. :)

Started with skeleton in Hexagon
Added some volume sculpting in 3D Coat
Painted in 3D Coat
Rendered in Carrara 7 Pro

Still rusty - but giving it a go...

That came out really cool James. Good to see ya here. I have hexagon, got it on sale in a bundle. I still can crank out models super fast in ts so I stick with it. Whatever gets the job done is cool. I looove 3d coat. Can't wait to upgrade to the newest version, still with version 2.

James, I'd like you to know that no-body's ever called their artwork that before

that and no-body's ever made a possum look so freaky

That and no-body's ever made a 3d possum look as good

Thanks all. :)

Getting some vision back so I can actually read most menus now. heh

I didn't retopologize the critter, so it has the standard auto-UV map from 3D coat. Would be funny to rig it and run it around in 3D space though. :bananadevil:

I like "Uncle Thug" a lot better. His form is more pronounced and
the nice texture job displaying his new hair cut is cool.
Do you own Vue because you could have him standing next to a forest with
wild flowers, blades of grass, butterflies, a song bird chirping and a dead
carcass at his feet... :D

Just own the flyweight version of Vue, Easel or whatever it is called.

Do have Carrara Pro, which has built-in landscapes. I could fix up something ghastly and totally inappropriate to human decency though. :D
