I ran across an awesome new flash based game engine and MMO web deployment system today, it is very capable and promising from the looks of it now. It is being developed by a full-time Russian staff of 15 Devs, and they seem to be doing fabulous so far!
Check this out... you can experience it in seconds with no signup using your web browser if you like on the Demo links below:

That's cool. I looked at the temple. The view rotating part looks like SmoothMove, a system that uses photos to give a spherical view of a room, but you can walk around in Alternativa.

Yeah I think it's well on it's way to becoming quite a platform already! You can fly in it too, there is an icon for that ability inside the "Bunker" Demo, but flying is probably disabled in the small Temple Demo yard there (and I confess, I did try to climb over the hedges, lol).Finis wrote:That's cool. At 1000 Euros for a single commercial project, that isn't so bad either, and they appear at this stage at least to be very flexible on large scale project rates, which is good.
I'll be keeping close tabs on this one I think. Also noticed the very latest Blender release has significant game engine enhancements which is also a welcome sign!
Still.... I would be happy just to see the truePlay wire highlighting bug get conquered for now!

@ Rayman
Lol, i got caught up in looking at it from a potential business investment perspective and forgot to mention that, thanks for mentioning that the personal version is free!
@ Marcel
Very interesting... I didn't know about that Google API either and yes that is worth watching too! Thanks!
@ 3dfrog
Sure, my pleasure, gaming engines are popping up every day it seems, is good to have a few folks watching out for the new ones and keeping us informed.

I tried O3d and it is useful for internet. You can have a realtime 3d inside the browser. the possibility seem very interesting. It is what i would like to do with the workspace.

Yes I too feel that integration of the 2d web with realtime 3d multi-user environments is the future racing toward us all right now. There is fascinating potential in it all from many different perspectives I think.marcel wrote:I tried O3d and it is useful for internet. Thanks for that info, I am looking into it and others simultaneously.
Also you may want to take a peek at a beta project that seems interesting too called "J.L.I." (Just Leap In) http://www.justleapin.com/ and be sure to check out the videos there. Realtime lighting / shadows... good environmental graphics, realtime physics, multi-user environments, and all on the web for free!
