I'm busy with work but I'll try. New, handcrafted, models for flowers for this challenge not Plant Studio or such. Probably everything will be and the scene will be simple except for the flowers. I'd like to do a picture with the various plants called Bird of Paradise (Hawaiian state flower, New Mexico bop, Mexican bop) and a bird or two. No time for birds and I'll probably have to do simple flowers. Imaginary fantasy flowers could be interesting too.

My inspiration for this flower was of a woman where the petals are her face profile.

I'm going to be off line for a while so doubt I can compete.
Great idea though. Will see when I get back.

I'll have an entry. It may be simpler than my original plan. I hope Steinie gets his ready. More contestants would be good. Y'all do some speed modeling and enter! James correct me if needed: the entries don't have to be realistic so simpler shapes and styles are good. Y'all do some abstract flower art, child's drawing, daisies, ...

Speed modeling is always good as it constrains distractions and focuses one's effort to an achievement.

The use of fractal generators is a way one could go.

Arrangement of primitives or more complex objects as a flower is another.

Or perhaps a particle effect captured frame used as a flower (fireworks, etc.)

Make letters into flowers *The example below is where the flower is made of the letter "L", then duplicated pivoted around a center point. The leaves are the letter "M" and the ground is just green shader with a high bump of a cellular.

Just do it! :superbanana:

Ya know what's funny? All this cool art up in so many threads and the pic with one of the most views is the one of a calendar.
(Scratches head). Strange.

:bananatyping:

@Draise - No biggy. Redid the room and used the opportunity while unplugged to clean the smoke filled computer stuff.

Nice flower!

Calendar art, now there is a new category for this crew.

As the old saying goes, "Give a bald man a comb and he will never part with it."

Well, no segue' but hey - well anyway, yeah...

Glad you are back Dragneye. The calendar get a lot of views because it is viewed each time that page of the tread is viewed. That happens with pictures smaller than the thumbnail size. Hmm, it gets two views if you refresh the page. Wonder why that is?

I really want to contribute to this! But my todo lists are colossal and my days booked...

But I painted this on my phone. Does that count?

Looking great to me! We accept phone stuff, it's got 'chipsets and stuff' in it.

Yeah, submit it. It may well be the first phone art submission for Challenges on this Website?

Good ones Draise and Steinie!

Draise, there is a stray pink mark in the upper left area. Steinie is the grid supposed to be there? I think it looks good with it since it provides a contrast to the curves.

I might not be able to finish in time. Too much work today. That's ok though since these entries are imaginative and creative. Without my realistic one this is a battle of the artists! Maybe I'll get it done but I don't want to enter a partially finished one. So, if I'm not on time proceed without me.

Steinie: Floral and abstract!
Mikom: Concept and Flora logo with NASA style font!
Draise: Hand drawn!

Edit: I'm out. Possibly days of work left on this. I'll finish it as an independent project and might do more flowers. Great entries everyone!

Nice work guys. The variety of approaches is very cool.

Stienie, say what you will but that's a photo.
Mikom, you are definitely a space cadet :). Even flowers in spaceship form. Very cool and original bud.
Draise, nice to see some painting round here. (ps: surprised to hear you speak English so well. Cool)

Congratulations Steinie! I like all the entries so it was hard to pick one to vote for.
