Behind true-Space, Spiderbots Get Busy...6-09 MMC

Post by Mr. 3d »

Wow, this MMC is flying by.
Speaking of flying, here's the cocoon used to transport the Spiderbots inside of what is called 'true-Space'. Until now, these Spiderbots were an unknown mystery as to what actually goes on inside of 'true-Space' !

So...if any thing goes wrong with the program, don't blame it on your computer or the unknown Space....it's them damn Spiderbots !...
This will be an animation...

Creating a viewable WIP can be just as time consuming as with creating the project ;) !
Here is a short behind the scenes overview on creating an animation in trueSpace 7.6, with the extra assistance of VirtualDub. I got VirtualDub as a Free application from the internet, and it is very useful for combining your images that you have Rendered to File into an AVI formatted animation for viewing...

That was about the seventh or so time that I had to start the video tutorial over because of forgetful little things that I or the programs were doing (it was around 1:30 am also ;) ). With that particular take, I had begun to move my ball before I had preset the final key-frame....so I was laughing because of the constant frustration !!! ;)
But anyway, don't let that ruin your fantasy !!!

You must sleep with two pillows.

Unless I'm on Planes, Trains, and Automobiles !!! ;) :D

An excellent way to trim time off of creating an animation is to use Mr. Bones BVH Motions, and they can be found at (http://www.truebones.com" ).
Here's a demonstration for applying these preset BVH Motions to a character model in trueSpace 7.6...

Yep,

The Truebones motions are mocap in BVH format.

Thanks for the video, It is nice,

One note is that you dont have to recolor the bones... You can just turn them invisible after you atttaach them..

Also once you have the shelly rigged like you have, save her to library.

Then you can apply any Truebones BVH to her by dragging the bvh to her anim track.
without the need for rerigging.

Also... You can save the bvh to a RSanim clip file.

That way you can just press one button (Rsclip from Library)to mocap anim your shelly character.
without the need of re rigging or drag and drop. Just press and go.

Cheers

P.S. Did you get the FREE animated spiders?

THANKS for the info Mr. Bones ! Coloring them invisible would have been the better choice (I guess I'll have to remake the video tutorial again)!
These are my animated spiders. This is actually the first time that I've attempted a Render to File animation from trueSpace 7.6 ! Considering that I only started a week and a half ago, I'm really stretching myself for time to finish. Separate named File and Folders are a key to organization and speed. However, I have still made a big mistake by letting something pass at the beginning of a long segment that I thought was satisfactory at the time (until I started to put the video together), and now I'm left with editing nearly every frame (Huge mistake to learn from ;) !). I'm pressing onward, despite the major setback, and I still hope to finish this in time (even though it has set me back 4 days already :o ).
...back to editing !

"A LOOK BEHIND TRUESPACE !"
Created in trueSpace 7.6 with LightWorks and WorkSpace RealTime.
Now you can look at what really goes on behind the scenes !!!
So, strap on your headphones, watch the larger view, and crank her up !!! :bananaguitar:
