string for a parachute transparency
I am trying to come up with a string transparency for a command module falling to the ocean. How can I make the string really transparent compared to the rest of the model?

Ok, so I have a jpg of some white lines with spaces in them and a black background. I use this as my texture, then for the alpha channel, I did the inverse of the image - black lines with white background, is that the correct way of accomplishing this? How do I make the 'map' darker?

You can make it black and white in photoshop.. and yes it sounds correct if not just inverse the alpha map..netrate wrote:Ok, so I have a jpg of some white lines with spaces in them and a black background. Make sure 'flt' box is unchecked on the color and transparency maps.

So that is the "map" and the texture should be the INVERSE of this?
