My initial switch from Windows 7 to 10 was somewhat disappointing, but the following link shows how to install 10 as a separate OS and I think I'll try this one and get post the results for you guys to check out. PS: Has anyone else thought of doing something similar? I like Windows 10 but 7 works pretty well for my needs and I don't really want to trash it just yet. I want to try a free 3d called Autodesk 123D Catch as it's toughted as being able to create 3d models from digital photos. If I can figure it all out I'll post some feedback for other curious forum members. Later, Leroy.



Update: I downloaded 123D catch as I found a PC version that will run on Windows 7. Originally I thought it was only for Windows 10. Guess I need to dust off my old digital camera to give the app a spin.

having two windows on one pc is a waste of few gigs of HDD space... :)

maybe having linux and win10... or something is more senseful for me.

Running Win 10 and having win 7 to fall back on if one drive fails isn't a bad idea at all. I currently have two installs of Win 7 on this PC and I don't feel like it's a waste of SSD space.

Then again I do have three SSDs in my rig with an accumulated eight terabytes of SSD and HDD space. If you have less space, I guess it really depends on what you feel you want to allocate your space to.

I run Windows 10 and use VMware (free) which allows me to run Windows XP inside Windows 10. I can run some of the older programs that no longer run since Windows 7.

I use a different method!
I keep older computers and run them side by
side!! I even bought older macs G4 for 100$
to run an older scanner that only supports the older
Scsi standard...
TS is on an older computer...so are all of some of my mails...
that way you dont get viruses as easily into your work..

Whats the benefit if that method??
Well I can ie. render with TS on one computer and render with
another computer in a second and still have full power for Photoshop for my work on my main computer.....!

I have an old computer with XP and a computer with windows 10.
It is better for the compatibility hardware/software/OS.
If one crash I have the other to find a solution with internet.
And always my data on external drive !
