Re: Old tree
I thought the name of this piece could have been "Desolate" until I noticed a small hint of
life from below. Small blades of grass as secondary characters.
Fantastic piece!

Re: Old tree
I like the exaggerated depth of field. It makes the local area seem important even though there is a vast expanse beyond. Did you sculpt the tree by hand?

Or "bristlecone".spacekdet wrote:The word of the day is "pollard"
The bristlecone pines are three species of pine trees believed to live longer than any other known organism: over 5,000 years. Bristlecones grow in scattered subalpine groves at high altitude in arid regions of the Western United States. The name comes from the prickles on the female cones.

Re: Old tree
thank you for your comments.
the tree is modeled with the sweep and bend tool, quad and SDS. Nothing else.
The interest is that the uv map automatically follows the direction of the tool. It is not necessary to work uv.
I use a tile texture with a very basic material. It's just a work of composition in the frame.

Re: Old tree
Nice image Marcel ! and why you use modeleside of TS 7.6 and not from TS 7.61 ? , i remember you talking about some differences between modelside 7.6 and 7.61, modelside from 7.6 is more stable ?

Re: Old tree
Very nice piece. It must have taken you quite some time to sculpt all of that detail. I love the modelside of TS best of all. Leroy.

Re: Old tree
Thank BNG !
@ Cellulo : modelside with 7.61 is the same than 7.6 but it have some problem. When you Save the scene some setting are not saved. Hdri setting is one of the setting not saved in the file. If you don't use the workspace it is better to use 7.6 without the bridge. I have no problem since i erased 7.61.
