Wire Chair

Post by fahembree »

WHile thumbing thru a magazine I came across photos of some wire furniture and thought this
would be a fun thing to model in Hexagon as you can draw a polyline to the curved side shape and then
add thickness to the line. Then rotate that shape around a circle as there is a command to locate objects
on a vertex of and element (circle in this case). Then use boolean command to cut the top of the
chair for the cut out at the seat. It really was pretty easy and straight foward. I know the back needs
some more adjusting, but it was fun to make. :D

Nice model. Unfortunately one of my weaknesses is that I don't know much about "technical terms" so how you did it is lost on me :D and not very familiar with hexagon.

Do you render in Hexagon too or only for modeling?

Throw away that cushion because you punctured it. :D
That is a very nice chair model and certainly above my capabilities.

I think Hexagon could help Finis in his future projects too.
(His highway project for example)
Do you think so too?

Thanks for showing us the chair. Did you use VRay for the renderer?

No I used Carrara to render it. Below is a truespace render modelside lightworks using hdri.

I liked the design and a good approach to model it! :worship:
