Unreal Import Export update

Post by clintonman »

Update:
Fixed the plugin/script so that IK animations can be exported to the PSA format for UDK and UT3 editors.

This is a set of unreal PSK mesh and PSA animation import export scripts and plugin for truespace761 and 761standalone. Here's the original thread on the Caligari forums:

One thing I discovered while testing is that if you set an IK handle on the hips and locks on the feet it only looks good on the keyframes that are set. The feet will float around even with full locks on them, but if you add ik handles to the feet they stay locked down in between keyframes.

Updated with a couple of new buttons.

The first button will start a compatible skeleton and the second will remove all IK handles and locks for PSK export.

The plugin/script requires a special skeleton since the first joint and bone are ignored. You build your skeleton starting from the top joint of this pre-made skeleton.

The plugin/script does not handle IK nodes so they must be removed before exporting.
